Letter to Members
October 11, 2011
Dear Chapter Members and Community Friends:
As the calendar year comes to a close, we are excited to invite you to become a 2012 member of the Delaware Chapter of People to People International. We need the support of global and entrepreneurial minded persons like yourself to continue development of programs and events aimed at strengthening understanding of global societies, and to continue to provide you with opportunities to interact with people from all around the world.
In the past year, perhaps you have attended "Families of the World: Guatemala," "On the Scene: Nepal," "Meeting People Through Travel & Photography: China, Ethiopia, India and Turkey," or our multicultural event featuring Middle Eastern, Indian, and Irish dancing as well as South African and Ghanaian songs. You may have even attended one of our State Department Town Hall programs featuring Ambassador Shapiro as he addressed micro and macro economic considerations in the Western Hemisphere, or our Cultural Insights Panel on Afghanistan & Pakistan.
As a Chapter member you will support programs like these and help share "Peace through Understanding" throughout the community. Your involvement will give you the opportunity to meet interesting speakers and visitors from within the community and abroad. As a member of the Delaware Chapter you are also entitled to the membership and benefits of the People to People International umbrella organization.
Please take a moment to complete the enclosed Membership Information Form and mail it our address to the left, along with your check. Your dues support all of People to Peoples Delaware's activities. It is with many thanks that we welcome our Pacesetters, whose generosity and larger donations we rely on for the financial stability of our Chapter. As we are a 501(c)(3) organization, your contribution is tax deductable to the extent provided by law.
We value your support and involvement as a member, and encourage you to participate in our programs and serve on our committees. You may indicate your areas of geographical interest and activity involvement on the membership form. We continue our efforts to be an environmentally conscious organization therefore sending most of our event notifications out by email, and you can help by providing your email address on the membership form.
Your membership and involvement are essential to the Chapter's ability to offer meaningful programs to members and the community at large. Please check out our website at www.ptpde.org for current Chapter updates, news, and local information. If we can be of any service to you, don't hesitate to contact us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .
