The 2011 Membership Campaign is just getting underway. Perhaps you have already received a Membership Campaign Letter along with the impressive list of the 2010 Programs.  Please consider joining or renewing your membership with the Delaware Chapter now for 2011. National membership in PTPI is automatically included.

          The purpose of People to People International (PTPI) is to enhance international understanding and friendship through educational, cultural and humanitarian activities involving the exchange of ideas and experiences directly among peoples of different countries and diverse cultures. While not a partisan or political institution, PTPI supports the basic values and goals of its founder, President Dwight D. Eisenhower.

The Delaware Chapter of People to People International is a member organization that provides the resources and energy for promoting international programs for the community.

Some of the things we do:

  • Community awareness of international viewpoints
  • International humanitarian projects
  • Foreign affairs speakers
  • Student Ambassador scholarship
  • Families of the World Children's programs

What can YOU do?

  • Be an ambassador for peace and People to People by inviting and bringing friends and neighbors to programs
  • Ask to display PTPDE program flyers at stores, libraries, community bulletin boards
  • Help brainstorm programs and email your ideas to ptpde@ptpde.org. What country or international topic most interests you?
  • Nominate someone you know in Delaware that is doing humanitarian work overseas for our People Helping People annual award
  • Fulfill an internship requirement by volunteering your technology or marketing skills!

  • Meeting People through Travel and Photography: China, Ethiopia, India and Turkey
  • Circles of Understanding: Mexico
  • Families of the World: Egypt
  • People Helping People Annual Award Program: Joyce Tannian, Water is Life Kenya
  • PTPI Global Youth Mural displays at Cab Calloway High School, Widener University, Cokesbury Village, and Delaware Technical and Community College
